Citing primary source photographs and films in Chicago style: Guide

The Chicago style of citation is generally used in the subjects related to humanities. There are many types of Custom thesis writing and one of them is the cause and effect essay. Therefore, it is the only style that requires the writer to include the dimensions of the work used in the papers. It consists of two basic parts: bibliography and notes.

In this system, all the sources used in the text are cited by using either footnotes or endnotes. Each of the notes corresponds to a specific source that is mentioned in the bibliography. The latter is present at the end of the document on a separate page. This system is great for writing essays as it helps to accommodate a wide number of resources like photographs and even films.

Most of the students studying humanities use this method of citation. Even I use this style as I write my papers for my own college papers. Most of the directions that are required for the students to understand are given in the chapter 14 and 15 of the Chicago Manual of Style. Let us discuss how to cite primary source photographs and films in Chicago style of citation.

The basic format that is used for citing photographs in the Chicago style of citation are as follows:

Creators first and last name, Title of Work, date, medium, dimensions, location, or collection (publication details in brackets for footnotes), date accessed and URL.

Creators last name, first name, Title of Work, date, medium, dimensions, location, or collection (publication details in brackets for footnotes), date accessed and URL. When you write my essays you should know that the the nature of the relationship between variables is not always easy to understand and resultantly the exact cause and effect are not always known.

There are some things that should be noted in this regard. First, images do not appear in the bibliography, only the notes in the format mentioned above. Second, if you are citing an original piece of art or an image in the original context, then you must include the medium of the photograph as well. Here are some of the examples to understand how to cite photographs:

This type of essay is easy to assess the competency and approach of the writer, the reason being that if the author is not able to maintain plausibility then this issue in writing is easily pointed out. The writer of any essay writing service is aware of how to maintain this plausibility.

Citation of films follows the style used for books, with the addition of medium type.
